Hello,

For information, I've also same issue with wireshark 1.10.5 software on Windows
8.1 64 bits platform. 
I haven't symantec software installed on my computer, or any VPN solution. 
I've currently no more details to provide to help your investigation, but i
have plane to migrate an over PC on 8.1 to confirm that root cause is the
update
