Most assuredly he meant "downgraded" to experiment with a more primitive
technology or to run an app whose developers were not sophisticated
enough to port to Linux?
Lest I get painted with too broad a brush, you have to understand that I never moved my lab systems to NT or Win2000, etc.,  simply BECAUSE I am a Linoid (or, Unoid, with Linoid tendencies.)
