No, it isn't.

It is looking for GLib, which, although it's put out by the same people
who do GTK+ (because it's a library that provides services that GTK+
uses), is *NOT* a GUI library, and does *NOT* require X.

Code shared by Ethereal and Tethereal also uses the services that GLib
provides, so you *must* install GLib if you want to use Tethereal.  Try
looking for a port or package of GLib, and install that, or download the
GLib source from

	ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk/v1.2/

and compile and install it.
