To which addresses are you referring? The ones in the list of packets
(topmost pane), or the ones in the dissected packet's protocol tree
(middle pane)?
If it's the ones in the list of packets, that's presumably because you
configured Ethereal to show link-layer addresses in the "Source" and
"Destination" columns; you can change them back to show network
addresses or, if it can resolve them, host names ("Source address" and
"Destination address") by selecting the "Preferences" item from the
"Edit" menu, selecting the "Columns" tab in the "Preferences" dialog
box, clicking on "Source", selecting "Source address" in the "Column
format" item, clicking "Change", clicking on "Destination", selecting
"Destination address" in the "Column format" item, clicking "Change",
clicking "Save", clicking "OK", and then exiting and restarting
Ethereal.
