Hi Wen,
I haven't heard from many users, but so far the current dissector submitted by Stephen seems to be pretty good. His was the first acceptable version made available for inclusion (by my reckoning, there's quite a few versions out there that haven't been submitted). He just submitted a patch to make the TLV table be driven by XML file definitions, and I still plan/hope to make it dynamically register the data fields to make the filtering nicer (like Diameter does) before the next release is done.
If your version has any specific improvements, please either:
- provide patches relative to the current dissector , OR perhaps
- give a description/rationale of improvements, so that I or someone else can merge specific parts from the CIeNET dissesctor to the current one
Thanks,
Martin

Hi,
Yes, I have tried this dissector and it is as good as wimaxasncp. I think it is also acceptable if it was submitted earlier.
My employer, CIeNET technologies, is improving this dissector based on the feedbacks from the community. I believe a better WiMAX ASN control message dissector will be available soon. The efforts will be merged by then.
Thanks

Hi,
Have you looked at this new submission in detail, or tried it out?
Does it handle anything that is missing from the current one we have, or handle something in a better way?
I don't actually work with WiMAX, and haven't asked colleagues who do to play with this new submission. I was hoping that the original submitter would test the existing dissector and do a comparison for us.
