This is what happens upon 1st startup of Wireshark.
Upon 1st startup of Wireshark, this is what it looks like. The most important
window is completely hidden. You can drag it open, but that's only if you know
that it's actually there. There is absolutely no indication that the window is
there, or that it even exists. For a long time, I struggled in anger &
frustration trying to figure out why Wireshark was broken. I eventually
discovered, completely by accident, that another window is there & can be
dragged open.
