Did I miss something I need to do here (the status being incomplete)?

Btw, I agree that we should have two independent installs here:
One "classic" install that installs all the files just as they would be
installed on any Unix'ish system and should be the result of "make install"
And one app install which creates and installs a MAC app, preferably into
/Applications
