you mention is ambiguous. How does one side know if the other "knows" the
PAN-ID? For this reason RFC6282 removed that option - it now always sets those
bits to zero, which guarantees both sides made the same assumption."
Isn't the PAN ID *always* in the IEEE 802.15.4 frame control field (destination
PAN id and source PAN id), unless it is a beacon or MAC command frame?
