Thanks everyone for the good feedback.  I agree that one might want to mark all
packets and then unmark a few, or mark all packets, filter, unmark displayed,
clear the filter, and so forth.  I'll put that feature back.  I'm thinking that
rather than adding another menu item, we should just expand the meaning of "all
displayed packets" to include the case where the list is unfiltered.  Is that
acceptable to all?  If not, we'll have agree on a shortcut for it, perhaps
<Ctrl><Alt><Shift>M.
