After I installed Wireshark 1.2.1 (including plugins) on Windows XP SP2, when I
try to run Wireshark, it would begin to start up and loading dissectors, and
then crash while still loading some of the dissectors. When it crashed it was
trying to reference location 0x02c6c000 that it did not have permissions to.
This would happen consistently. My computer was plugged into the network the
entire time. After I uninstalled the plugins, I was able to run Wireshark.
