I have noticed that when trying to read the attached file, under Wireshark
1.3.0-SVN-28785 on Fedora 10 (using a Qt wrapper theme for GTK+ applications,
and a Fedora 11 Git kernel, if it makes a difference), Wireshark will
predictably SEGFAULT.
Depending on how it was invoked, I receive either a full stack trace (with
~/wireshark-1.3.0-SVN-28785/wireshark USB_modem.ntar), or a brief message
stating that it has SEGFAULTed (with ../wireshark-1.3.0-SVN-28785/wireshark
USB_modem.ntar whilst in the directory where the capture file is stored).
The resulting message from ../wireshark-1.3.0-SVN-28785/wireshark is below, and
the stack trace from ~/wireshark-1.3.0-SVN-28785/wireshark USB_modem.ntar is
attached as a file:
[tyson@nagasaki IDP]$ ../wireshark-1.3.0-SVN-28785/wireshark USB_modem.ntar
dumpcap: There are no interfaces on which a capture can be done
Segmentation fault
