However, this is the portable version I'm talking about.

When Wireshark Portable 1.2.0 is started, the following error message appears:

However, if WinPcap is installed manually, this message doesn't occur. Previous
versions of Wireshark Portable installed WinPcap at startup, then uninstalled
it when you closed the program down.
