Hello Anders,
I just took a look at the v8.4.0 of the GSM 48.008 specification and I can't
see that the Perform Location Requests have the extra IEs such as LCS
Capability, Packet Measurement Report that the BSSMAP LE has. In truth, I don't
expect them to be there because they are specific to the information an SGSN
would provide and not an MSC.
However, it would be possible to place the extra BSSMAP-LE IEs into the current
gsm-a_bssmap.c file as the extra IEs are listed as OPTIONAL and therefore can
be ignored.
My main concern is that we need to present the correct interface to the user.
Currently, the interface for BSSMAP states "GSM A-I/F". If we put the extra IEs
for BSSMAP LE into the gsm-a_bssmap.c file, then we need to find a way to
present to the user that the Lb interface is used. It might be possible to add
a preference based on the SSN (Subsystem number) that would differentiate the
GSM-A interface from the Lb interface.
Would you be OK with this? Any Thoughts?
Johnny
