No error message. Window just completely closes.
Situation Change:
I updated my install to SLED10 SP1 (RC5) and I can no longer duplicate the
issue. I will check with another user who has/had same experience for further
information.

So at this time Release Candidate 5 of SuSE Linux Desktop v.10 appears to not
have this problem and SuSE Linux Desktop v.10 base install does.
I can retest once a shipping version of SP1 is certified.
