I'm trying to capture some traffic on a network where my computer happens to be responsible for most of the network traffic. Is there any way I can exclude myself using the capture filters? I'm using ethereal 0.10.13 on a WinXP machine.

I've tried a number of combinations and as far as I can tell what I put in the capture filter settings has NO effect what so ever. When they're empty, everything gets captured. When I specify a host according to the helpfile, like "host 192.168.0.10", everything gets captured. If I try to use "!" or "not" etc everything gets captured. In fact, whatever I do everything always gets captured. On top of it all I don't even get any error messages to tell me what's wrong.

 Help please.
