013 locks up 99% CPU so I tried to revert back to the copy of 012 I
kept.

I did an uninstall and checked the registry. Then I re-installed 012
and WinPCap 3 and then a 3-alpha. Then I tried uninstalling WinPCap
and trying Ethereal 012 without WinPcap.

No matter what I do, when I run the previously fine version, Ethereal
uses 99%CPU and stays frozen.

Will someone please tell me how to get what used to work back in order
here, namely, 012 version.
