Router: Draytek Vigour 2600plus
Firmware Ver: 2.5.6_UK
Host Machine: Win98SE

Problem:

Details about my initial problem can be found at:

My current problem is getting Ethereal to connect to my Router to run a
diagnostics test to establish if my Router is causing the problems detailed
on the Forum above.

Installed Ethereal Version Info: 0.10.
Compiled with GTK+ 2.4.14, with GLib 2.4.7, with WinPcap (version unknown),
with libz 1.2.3, with libpcre 4.4, with Net-SNMP 5.2.1.2, with ADNS.
Running with WinPcap version 3.1 beta4, based on libpcap version 0.8.3 on
Windows 98 A , build 67766446.

Ethereal lists the following Devices:

Router:
Vendor Description: PPP Adaptor
Interface: PPPMAC
Link Status: -
Link Speed: 8kbits/s
Media Supported: WAN & 802.3 Ethernet
Ip address: 0.0.0.0

Win98 Machines NIC:
Vendor Description: SIS NIC
Interface: SISNIC
Link Staus: Connected
Link Speed: 100MBbits/s
Media Supported: 802.3 Ethernet
Ip address: Unknown

I can run a test on the machines NIC but not on the Router.

Question: What could be stopping Ethereal from running a test on the Router?
