There's currently no scripting support implemented or even planned to be implemented.
There's a very old WishList item to add scripting support, but no effort in that direction, so don't expect anything here ... 


I was hoping that there is some option within the ethereal console (or
soemthing similar) that would allow this.

I don't know an Ethereal console ...
