Thanks a lot for your reply.

I have deliberately changed my clock for some other purpose. Even with
setting the clock does not make any difference. So I will conclude that, the
loop back interface for ethereal is not supported in Windows and supported
for linux or in another way, because of conceptual difference in loop back
interface between windows and linux, ethereal can't work in windows for lo
interface.

You can have it by installing Linux on your machine. :-)

The notion of a loopback interface on which you can capture packets is, 
as Andrew Hood notes, not a concept present on Windows, although Linux, 
the BSDs, and Digital UNIX do have it.

The notion of starting a capture without binding to a particular 
interface, which is how the Linux "any" device works, is, as far as I 
know, specific to Linux.

(And, yes, as Andrew notes, you computer's clock is a year off....)
