Thanks four your help, but I have already solved the problem with ethereal.
As I told you, my internet provider told me to reinstall the full 
communication package that comes with W98 (se), this package has:
-Telephone access to the net (here is where I have to put a telephone access 
from my provider for connecting to the internet)
-ATM compatibility
-Direct cable connection
-Hyper terminal
-Telephone dialer
-Microsoft Chat 2.5
-Net Meeting
-Virtual Private Net
-Telephone access service
Cause I was having problems with ethereal I decided to uninstall all the 
components of the communication package except the first one �Telephone 
access to the net� because I need that one to connect to the internet.
Then, I used again the program and it worked!, it seems that the problem was 
something in the communication package.
Now, my question is, which  component of the package do you think could be 
disturbing the program?
