Unfortunately, I'm *not* working on a Windows-based machine, so there are limits on how much help I can supply, so replying only to me is probably not the right idea; I'm CCing my reply to ethereal-users in the hopes that somebody more familiar with the VLAN implementation on Windows can indicate whether Windows has that notion of separate OS devices for the underlying hardware network device and for a "VLAN device", and whether you can arrange to capture on the OS device for the underlying hardware network device (which would presumably give you VLAN headers) rather than the VLAN device (which probably wouldn't).
