Hi everbody,

I downloaded WinPcap_3_0.exe and ethereal-setup-0.10.6.exe to get ethereal
running under WinXP Prof-SP2. After rebooting I started ethereal. If
selecting Edit/Preferences a DOS-Box appears and tells me: 

(ethereal.exe:1008): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 1561
(g_object_ref): assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

** (ethereal.exe:1008): CRITICAL **: file pango-engine.c: line 68
(_pango_engine_shape_shape): assertion 'PANGO_IS_FONT (font)' failed

There is also a windows error box shown, telling me:

** ERROR **: file shape.c: line 75 (pango_shape) assertion failed:
(glyphs->num_glyphs > 0)
aborting...


I found older entries on this mailing list with similar errors, but no
solutions. :/

Any suggestions how this could be solved? If more information is needed,
don't hesitate to tell me!

My system: P4-2,8GHz (HT enabled), 1GB RAM
LAN: Intel(R) PRO/1000 CT (onboard)
WLAN: Netgear MA111 (USB), D-Link Air DWL-510 (PCI)
