Hi users of Ethereal,

There is a known minor issue with Ethereal-0.10.5 where the user will
see the following error message one or several times:

(ethereal.exe:3512): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkwindow.c: line 3107
(gtk_window_resize): assertion `height > 0' failed

This has to do with Ethereal 0.10.5 defining some new parameters in
the configuration file, governing the window positioning. Should this
error message appear, then:
1. do NOT close the console window if it pops up, but instead,
2. make sure the "Save window size" preference is set in the
   "User Interface" preferences in the "Edit ->Preferences" window;
3. quit Ethereal;
4. if a message shows up in the DOS window telling you to type
   Return or Enter, do so.

By performing these steps, the new values of those new preferences are
set to appropriate values.

Note that this bug has already been fixed in the code, and the next
version of Ethereal will have this fixed.

Best regards,

Olivier Biot
