Hi, Are you referring to M$ FrontPage extensions or to WebDAV for *uploading* resources to an HTTP server in the Internet? Maybe the problem is either that the server does not support the protocol you're using, or that the protocol you're testing with has bugs you want to be able to view and resolve. Note that many ISPs today only support FTP (often only in PASSIVE mode) for uploading web content to the web server. If you want to use Ethereal, then try capturing only the relevant traffic. For instance 'tcp port 80' (without enclosing quotes) is a valid libpcap packet capture filter. Once you captured the transaction you're testing, click on "stop" to quit capturing, and inspect the data packets. The simplest is to type 'http' (without enclosing quotes) as a *display* filter which will only display the packets for which the HTTP dissector was called. Then inspect what's wrong. Are you seeing an error at TCP level (no HTTP traffic) or at the HTTP level (take a look at the format of the HTTP messages you send to and receive from the server). You could select one packet and then right-click and choose "Follow TCP stream" in order to visually see the exact content which was exchanged between client and server. Hope this helps!
