Hello Alessandro,
There have been some updates in the HTTP dissector since Ethereal 0.9.16 has
been released. One of the major changes was the way the media type was
registered; now a common registration table is available; in 0.10.3 the move
to this common registration was not yet entirely coded (we saw this too
late).
Please consider installing the latest official release (0.10.3).
Regarding MMSE support, the code currently in CVS supports dissection of
chunked transfer coding on top of HTTP, and full MMSE 1.1 and basic MMSE 1.2
dissection. If I find some more time, I'll add full MMSE 1.2 dissection, but
I can't promise that'll be in the 0.10.4 release.
Should you still have problems dissecting your MMSE capture with Ethereal
0.10.3, please let us know!
Regards,
Olivier

I am using ethereal since a year. I have been succesfully using version
0.9.16 for a long time. Some weeks ago I tried to intall the new version
0.10.0. I noticed that in this version, support for MMS has been almost
completely removed. I mean with 0.9.16 I just needed to Decode As Http to
see in real-time every MMSE packet detail in m-send-req and m-retrieve-conf.
Now with 0.10.0, if I Decode As Http I can only see notification-ind and
HTTP transactions, but cannot see in real-time MMSE details.
Is this a bug of 0.10.x releases, or am I doing some mistakes in using the
new ethereal release?
Best regards.
