Ethereal-users: Re: [Ethereal-users] How do I capture packets on localhost ipaddress127.0.0.1

I tried on my system and I got the following error when I tried to change
the interface from hme0 to lo0.

"The capture session could not be initiated (/dev/lo0: No such file or
directory)." I checked in the /dev directory and I do not have the lo0
file, so that may be the problem , however when I do a netstat -ia I get
the following

lo0 8232 loopback localhost 21959241 0 21959241 0
0 0
lo0 8232 loopback localhost 0 N/A 39259 N/A N/A

So I guess I have to find where the loopback interface info is, since it
does not seem to be in /dev where ethereal seems to be configured to read.

If anyone knows let me know.
