Hi! I know this error was discussed before, but the solutions were made
before ethereal 0.10.2 was released and I suppose those patches were
introduced in this release.

I'm trying to save in pdml format a capture from a wireless LAN
interface, and I get the error mentioned in the subject. The exact
command line looks like this:

$ tethereal -r verdi-second-soft-040324.pcap -T pdml > work.pdml

I tried without redirecting it to I file, but obviously that is not the
problem. It happens with several captures, not just this one. The
capture file is attached, maybe someone from the developers is able to
help me. If you need more captures to see what the correlation is,
please tell me.

Another problem would be, that all packets captured on wireless links
are tagged at the end with "[Malformed Packet: IEEE 802.11]" because
ethereal tries to decode the last four bytes as part of the Tagged
Parameters. I stripped off the prism monitoring header and the last four
bytes, and checked if the remaining bytes' CRC32 matches the last 4
bytes. The packets I checked matched them. Also, in the IEEE 803.11
standard the last field of a frame is CRC32. I think this should be
corrected.

Thanks in advance!

Lori
