On which interface are you trying to capture? PPP? WAN? Ethernet? Wireless
LAN?

In which file format did you try to save your packets?

Have a look in the Temp directory of your user profile, it can be found in:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp

If you can find files named etherXXXXX*, could you try reading it with
Ethereal? If Ethereal then crashes, could you send us such a capture so we
can inspect it?

Regards,

Olivier

|When i captuerd or saved packets ,there was a info
|"Glib-error**:gmem.c:140:failed to allocate 2147483649 bytes
|aborting ...". After I pressed "confirm" button ,there was
|another info "Runtime reeor! program:c:\progrem
|files\ethereal\ethereal.exe abnormal program termination".then
