Hi all,

Thanks for your response. I thought I share this URL with everyone on this
list, it's a good reference of comparison between few protocol
analyzers...enjoy!

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Comparison between different Network Analyzers

Hello Ethereal Experts,

I was wondering if someone on this list can point me to some
research/whitepapers that would explain some key differences in
Architectures and pros and cons i.e. Cost, Performance, Scalability, and
Security of following Network Analysis/Packet capturing tools:

- Ethereal
- Network Associates Sniffer
- Etherpeek from Wildpackets
- Microsoft Network Monitor
- Novell LANalyzer
- Sun Microsystems snoop
- tcpdump and
- TracePlus from SSIT

Thanks,
Tasawar
