Hi,

I don't think you need to uninstall (there is nothing mentioned about uninstall in the INSTALL file or the other documents I looked in, what I could see) before you install the newer version.

However I'm almost only using Ethereal on Windows currently, so someone else on the list could maybe answer the questions.
