hi,

I am interested in Ethereal very much. It is a useful tool for capture traffic.
we are going to build it in our software for problem analysis ( or just install
it when we need it, so far we don't know which way is better). However, I need
to clarify something which are not clear in my mind. So, I would like to get
some opinions and suggestion from you Ethereal expert.

First, ethereal is a freeware under GNU license. If I understand right, that's
mean, it's totally free, no any license issue we need to deal with if we use it?

Second, ethereal is used to capture traffic, so it's good for debug analysis if
some problem happen. However, does ethereal bring some "security problem" if we
build it in our software. Does it bring "security hole" if we run it with our
product?

Third, does ethereal has any other some negative impact?

Thanks so much.

I am waiting for your reply.

BR,
Yu
