Do you really mean "libpcap 0.6.2", as in "an unmodified version of the
libpcap 0.6.2 distribution from tcpdump.org", or do you mean a patched
version of libpcap 0.6.2 (which might be the one supplied by whoever
supplied your Linux distribution; just because "ethereal -v" says "with
libpcap 0.6.2", that doesn't mean you have an unmodified libpcap 0.6.2).

0.6.2 from tcpdump.org doesn't support 802.11; the 0.7 beta does, but
0.7 hasn't been released yet.
