I have also used xipdump (sorry, no link), which is clunky, but good if you
want to capture, modify, resend. It's cool because it automagically
calculates IP, UDP, etc. header checksums.
Capture, modify, resend is a big deal to me, so I will rejoice when Ethereal
supports this.

Look at tcpreplay: http://www.anzen.com/research/nidsbench/, although that
site seems to be down.
