I am not sure if ethereal compiled correctly on my 
Slackware 8 Linux platform, I get this error in the doc folder:

.....
(cd doc ; \
make ../mergecap.1 )
make[2]: Entering directory `/other/tmp/ethereal-0.8.19/doc'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `../mergecap.1'.  Stop.


Any ideas on how to fix this?
