I can't get the display of Ethereal adjust its displayed columns.
I really need to show the packet length (bytes).
I go through the steps to tell Ethereal of the new column.
After clicking on Apply or Save and then OK, there's no effect
of my change.

I also tried moving existing columns in their order.  No effect.

Has anyone else succeeded?

The version I was trying is :  Ethereal for Win32,    0.8.17
