So when you select Capture/Start in Ethereal, there are no interfaces listed
in the drop-down Interface list?

All I can suggest is what the help page for the packet driver says
(at the bottom of
http://netgroup-serv.polito.it/winpcap/install/help/95.htm )

Troubleshooting
If you have any problem installing the capture driver, please follow these
instructions:

Remove capture driver.
Remove all network adapter driver including all modems and network card
adapter different from the Ethernet network card you're planning to use as
capture device.
Re-install the capture driver.
Verify the driver is working properly.
Re-install all other network driver you previously removed.

Sorry, I don't have any other suggestions than that.  Maybe someone else on
the list does.
