If you are ready to navigate uncharted territory I've been writing an
ethereal interface to Lua (a programming Language) that should be able
to enable youy to do what you want with a relatively simple script...
In the next few days (Now I'm almost finished with the API) I plan to
generate the docbook source that describes the current API (the docs
in http://wiki.ethereal.com/Lua are already outdated).
