The problems remains unchanged after deletion and rebuild.

ethereal-tap-register.c is a file that's generated by scanning the
source files for taps in the gtk directory. Try removing the file and
re-running the build, and see if the problem occurs again. If so, send
a copy of the ethereal-tap-register.c file to the list, so we can see
what the problem is with the script (make-tapreg-dotc) that generates
that file.
