Hi,

just an update,

As suggested by Ulf, I checked register.c, and there was no entry for 
myproto's handoff and register along with the entry in makefile.common
(my proto is actually LFAP which is being modified for some changes)

However,I still end up with:
epan/.libs/libethereal.so: undefined reference to `proto_reg_handoff_lfap'
epan/.libs/libethereal.so: undefined reference to `proto_register_lfap'

anyone else having issues with their own dissectors or is it "me" ? :(
