The -w option writes the captured packet in libpcap format (unless another
*capture file* format was specified) to the file after the '-w' option. The
-T pdml option is to be seen as a flag to "print" to standard out in a given
"text" format, not in a binary packet format.

The file you attached can be read in with Ethereal (it is a plain capture
file).
