it isn't. Do I really *NEED* pcap (I disabled it).

$ grep -i pcap config.h
/* Define to use libpcap library */
/* #undef HAVE_LIBPCAP */
/* Define if libpcap version is known */

I now installed the WinPcap developer's pack, and tried the following:
  a.  --with-pcap=DIR
  b.  manualy copying the header files to the /usr/include[/net] directory,
and the libs to /usr/lib or /lib
  c. Same as b. but with a symlink from libwpcap --> libpcap
  d. Compiling winpcap from source

Neither works.
