Which to me, being one of the people who is experiencing the results of this
issue, sounds like a perfectly good idea ;).

Although I'm just a regular end-user of the application here - and an
occasional bug reporter - to me, the employment of any methods that will
improve the general quality of the code sounds worthwhile to consider. As an
end-user/bug-reporter/system-administrator I of course have no way to tell
if 'valgrind' (http://developer.kde.org/~sewardj) would be a good tool for
this job, or if some other means like using additional gcc compiler warnings
( CFLAGS="-Wall -Wshadow -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-qual -W -ansi" ) would be
considered sufficient or more appropriate here.

... But then again, maybe I should just 'butt out', leave the developing to
the developers, and just enjoy a terrific product ...
;)

Anyways, just my 2$.

Sincerely,

J.Smith
