Yup, I agree - let's not abandon ideas that have value.

I.e., let's not abandon thoughts of allowing Ethereal to use the native
Windows widgets, as I definitely see that approach as having value:

	1) greater familiarity for Windows users;

	2) perhaps allowing users to run on 8-bit-color displays;

	3) perhaps looking less butt-ugly, at least on some systems (for
	   some reason, on both my home NT 4.0 partition and my work W2K
	   desktop, the underlining of menu items looks *really weird*,
	   with too much space between the letter and the underline,
	   unlike the way it looks on UNIX/X;

	4) perhaps eliminating other problems if they're due to
	   GTK+-on-Windows limitations.

(I cannot be argued out of thinking it's an approach worth looking at. 
I can, at most, be argued into allowing Ethereal to continue to be built
using GTK+ on Windows if we also allow it to be built with native
widgets.)
