Hi Frank,

Hi,

Yep this would be wise . I would like to regenerate the
GIOP subdissectors on a regular basis, to keep things
in step with ethereal_gen.py updates.

On the other point about name collisions, we would need a
nice "decode as" feature as I have discussed before. This one
would have to handle selections to decode similar operation names
both within the same IDL (subdissector) , and in different IDL's.

I don't know enough about the "decode as" feature (yet). I'll have
a look.
But some of the problems can be avoided by using explicit dissection.
Is there a reason why explicit dissection is not enabled by
default in ethereal_gen.py (the call to register_giop_user_module
is within #if 0)? I think it shouldn't hurt enabling it, or am I
missing something?
