We are excited to announce the upcoming election for the Wireshark Technical Steering Committee (WTSC). As outlined in
the WTSC Charter, available at
https://wiresharkfoundation.org/pdf/wtsc-charter-2024-05-01.pdf, this committee plays a
crucial role in guiding the technical direction of Wireshark.
All individuals who have contributed to Wireshark via Gitlab over the past two years are eligible to vote. This is a
great opportunity to have your say in the future of Wireshark and shape its development.
The election will take place on the dedicated website
https://elections.wireshark.org, starting from 2025-07-01 00:00
(UTC) and closing on 2025-07-15 00:00 (UTC). We encourage all eligible contributors to participate and cast their votes
during this period.

All contributors will automatically be eligible to vote. To confirm your eligibility status, login on the voting
platform using your Gitlab account. If your non-code contributions should make you eligible to vote, you can request an
exemption by writing an email to

make you eligible to vote.
Voting will be approval voting, where each voter may select up to eight candidates. The eight candidates with the most
