Hello Chris,

Entirely possible.

I must have had a question sometime ago and created an account.

But I don’t recall what that question was or which site I was using.

Regards,

Vaughan

Hmm, I don’t see that username at all.  Possibly you created it on the old site, https://osqa-ask.wireshark.org/?

Hello Chris,

My account is: VeeDub

There would be very little past activity. I don’t recall signing up.

In any event I have been able to obtain assistance on the Discord server, so I don’t think it is worth worrying about.

Thank you.

Regards,

Vaughan

What is your username on ask.wireshark.org?  If your account is blocked, then there’s either a reason it was blocked or possibly it was blocked in error.  The first thing to do would be to review your past account activity to determine why your account was blocked in the first place.

Hello Chuck,

Looks like the Discord server is a better option.

Thanks

Hello Chuck,

Sorry, you cannot ask questions because your account is blocked.
Your account might be blocked in error - please contact the site administrators, if you think so.

Vaughan

There are content filters on the Q&A site that sometimes prevent questions or comments from being posted.

What is the error you get?

You might create a simple question with no links or code content to see if that is successful then edit it with details afterwards.

There is also a Wireshark Discord server - see upper right of ask.wireshark.org for link to it.

Post in the #pcap-help channel or other appropriate.

Hello,

I’m not sure if this is the right place to be posting this question, I apologise in advance if it’s not.

I’m trying to post a question regarding a pcap file at ask.wireshark.org and while I can login (I must have created an account previously), I’m unable to post questions and I can’t see how to contact a forum/board administrator.

Can anyone here help with this or provide a contact?

Alternatively, is this list an appropriate place to ask questions about pcap analysis?

And if not, can anyone suggest some resources that I can explore?

Thank you.

Regards,

Vaughan
