My god!

This is the best mail I've ever read! :)
Just stop and think a sec...

Kirby, a WireShark community member, used WireShark to debug the WireShark bug reporting system.
It's sheer brilliance if you ask me! :)

Subject: [Wireshark-users] Caching problems on bugzilla show_bug.cgi

Folks,
I'm still getting used to the bugzilla for wireshark. It doesn't
seem very convenient for viewing up-to-date bug comments.
I saw via email that I'd received some comments on a bug I opened,
and went to check it out in my browser, only to find those comments
not there.
After a little while, it occurred to me to manually clear my cache
and refresh the page, and sure enough, I saw the comments. So I
checked the headers, and here's what I'm getting on the following URL:

https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4345

Cache-Control: max-age=14400
Expires: Wed, 23 Dec 2009 01:59:00 GMT

A 24hr expiration is probably not the best choice for a frequently
updated page of comments. I'd really suggest that the output of
show_bug.cgi be uncacheable.

Thanks,
---
