Adam,

Short summary: there is no way to export the decrypted traffic and still be able to use Wireshark. A workaround is to decrypt the traffic with tshark and than supply both the trace and the tshark output. A possible solution has been discussed, but needs to be implemented.

Cheers,

Subject: [Wireshark-users] Save Decrypted traffic

I’m working with an external vendor on a network connection issue on a https connection using ssl 3.0. I have taken captures using wireshark that the vendor is willing to plug in the private key into for decryption, but we cannot seem to find a way to save these decrypted files. Is that possible in Wireshark?  It seems to work fine when we export it to CSV, but then I cant seem to find a method to get the CSV file back into Wireshark…is that possible?

Thanks,

Adam
