That sounds like two problems:
1) not capturing many packets;
2) not seeing radiotap headers.
I can't address the first problem - that's probably either a driver
issue or an adapter issue.
For the second problem, you *might* have to set the "monitor_type"
parameter to 3. What version of the kernel are you using?
