I am new to Wireshark and need it for a college class lab. I am using
an Intel based MacBook Pro operating Mac OS X version 10.5.6. I
downloaded the binary version of Wireshark 1.0.5 (OS X Intel.dmg) and
installed it without any problems into my Applications folder. I also
made a "Wireshark" sub-folder and copied the Utilities/Command Line
and Startup folders to there.
When launching Wireshark it opens with X11 (Xquartz 2.1.5 - (xorg-
server 1.3.0-apple22) (2.1.5)) and pulls up the Network Analyzer. It
also pulls up a separate window with the following error message:

There are also no interface options available in the "Capture Options"
window. Any help would certainly be appreciated.
